Last week’s Flood & Coast Conference marked a pivotal moment for the Property Flood Resilience sector with the official launch of IPFRA.
We were heartened by the overwhelmingly positive response throughout the event, from Floods Minister Emma Hardy MP’s mention of IPFRA in her keynote speech, to the many conversations and new connections made across the exhibition floor.
We were also pleased that IPFRA Chair Graham Brogden MBE had the opportunity to meet with the Minister directly to discuss our vision and priorities for the Association.
We talked to so many people during our launch event – thank you to everyone who was able to come and to Flood Re for supporting us – and we also welcomed a number of new members.
In all, we were particularly encouraged by the clear consensus: IPFRA is much needed and widely supported. There is a genuine appetite for collaboration, consistency and raising standards across PFR and IPFRA looks forward to playing a key role in this effort.
While we’re still buzzing from the week, now the hard work starts! Watch this space for further news and updates. In the meantime, if you’d like more information regarding membership, do please get in touch – we would be very happy to help you.
