- Simon Gilliland is the founder of Gilliland Advisory, providing independent strategic advice on flood risk, water management and climate resilience. A Chartered Civil Engineer with more than 20 years’ experience in the flood risk management and water environment sector, he is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a member of Defra’s Property Flood Resilience Roundtable. Simon combines technical expertise with commercial and board-level insight, drawing on his previous roles as Chief Executive of Flood Technology Group and UK Water Consulting lead at WSP. He is a strong advocate for practical innovation and the use of digital and technology-driven approaches to improve flood resilience.
