IPFRA Launches New Affiliate-Level Membership

We are delighted to announce the launch of a new Affiliate Membership, a dedicated membership level designed to enable smaller operators and independent specialists to be part of IPFRA.

As part of our commitment to representing the whole Property Flood Resilience (PFR) industry, this new category ensures that businesses of all sizes can engage with, and contribute to, the future of the sector.

We’re pleased to welcome Helen Smith of Rheos Environmental as our first Affiliate Member.

Rheos Environmental is a specialist flood risk consultancy built around three core themes: Resilient People, Resilient Environment and Resilient Infrastructure. Rheos delivers PFR surveys, including detailed flood hazard assessments and practical recommendations to reduce damage, improve preparedness and support faster recovery.

Alongside this, Rheos provides expertise across asset inspection, flood investigation, consents and permitting, and wider flood risk assessment.

Following Helen’s appointment, we’ve seen strong early momentum, with Kerry Halfpenny (Fit For Living Homes), Brian Back (Radio Data Networks), David Pitt (Flusher2), and Tony Ruddiman (Larsons Enterprises) all joining as Affiliate Members in quick succession.

The launch of Affiliate Membership reflects the continued growth of IPFRA since Flood & Coast 2025 and our ongoing focus on collaboration across the industry.

Affiliate Membership enables smaller organisations to:

  • Connect with Executive and Associate Members
  • Access IPFRA events and communications
  • Be part of a growing, standards-led industry community
  • Use the IPFRA Affiliate Member mark

As IPFRA continues to build momentum, with the formal support of organisations including Flood Re, Aviva, Association of British Insurers (ABI) and Admiral, expanding our membership to include businesses of all sizes is a natural next step.

For those wishing to join IPFRA,  contact the secretariat via email: secretariat@ipfra.org or telephone: 0800 0499902.
